Een Belgische automobilist is donderdagavond over de kop geslagen op de Vosheining, naast de A58 in Tilburg. Hij kwam tot stilstand op het dak van zijn auto.
De bestuurder miste een bocht en reed een boom uit de grond. Hij is door de ambulance nagekeken, maar hoefde niet naar het ziekenhuis. Zijn auto is zwaar beschadigd afgevoerd.
De brandweer van Rijen is woensdagmiddag rond half twee uitgerukt voor een beginnende bosbrand aan de Atalanta. Omwonenden grepen snel in en wisten de vlammen al voor een groot deel te doven.
Na acht jaren komt er een einde aan de Vrijthof-Vrijthof Challenge in Hilvarenbeek. Organisatoren Willem en Mark van Abeelen maakten vandaag met pijn in hun hart bekend dat er geen vierde editie zal plaatsvinden.
