In een flatgebouw aan de Mendelssohnstraat in Tilburg stond donderdagavond een scootmobiel in brand. De brand is vermoedelijk ontstaan bij het opladen van een accu.
Het gehandicaptenvoertuig is snel geblust waarna hij met een hoogwerker naar beneden is gehaald. De scootmobiel bevond zich op de derde etage van het flatgebouw. Er raakte zover bekend niemand gewond.
Door een seinstoring rijden tussen station Tilburg en Den Bosch de rest van deze woensdagmiddag geen treinen op dat traject. Volgens NS houdt de storing in ieder geval tot 19:00 uur aan.
