Aan de Ringbaan Oost in Tilburg vond op dinsdagmiddag een ongeval plaats tussen twee auto’s. Een van de auto’s sloeg daarbij over de kop en ramde een lantaarnpaal en stoplicht.
De bestuurder is met letsel naar het ziekenhuis vervoerd. De andere automobilist is niet gewond geraakt. Over de toedracht van het ongeluk is nog niets bekend. De brandweer was ter plaatse, inmiddels is de Ringbaan-Oost deels afgesloten.
Pieter Tops kreeg vrijdagmiddag uit de handen van burgemeester Theo Weterings een Koninklijke onderscheiding. De hoogleraar is al sinds 1994 verbonden aan Tilburg University.
