Tijdens werkzaamheden op het dak van een woning aan de Predikherenlaan in Tilburg-West vloog vanmiddag de dakbedekking in brand. Twee werklieden op het dak reageerden snel en blusten de vlammen met emmers water.
De brandweer arriveerde met spoed en gebruikte een hoogwerker om gereedschap naar het dak te brengen. Met een warmtebeeldcamera controleerden ze of er nog hittebronnen aanwezig waren. Hoe groot de schade aan het dak is, blijft voorlopig onbekend.
