Twee automobilisten zijn gewond geraakt bij een frontale botsing op de Hannie Schaftlaan in Rijen. Dit gebeurde dinsdagochtend om 08:45 uur. De slachtoffers, beide vrouwen, zijn naar het ziekenhuis vervoerd.
Ook de voertuigen raakten zwaar beschadigd. Meerdere ambulances, politiewagens en een brandweerwagen kwamen ter plaatse om te helpen bij het ongeval. De weg is afgesloten vanwege onderzoek naar het incident en bergingswerkzaamheden.
