TILBURG – In de Kartuizersstraat in Tilburg is in de nacht van maandag op dinsdag een taxi uitgebrand. Behalve de taxi zijn ook een andere auto en een aanhangwagen beschadigd door de brand. Deze stonden dicht bij de taxi geparkeerd.
De brandweer kwam ter plaatse om de brand te blussen. Hoe de brand is ontstaan en of deze is aangestoken, is nog niet bekend. De politie doet onderzoek naar de brand.
Pieter Tops kreeg vrijdagmiddag uit de handen van burgemeester Theo Weterings een Koninklijke onderscheiding. De hoogleraar is al sinds 1994 verbonden aan Tilburg University.
