TILBURG – In de nacht van dinsdag op woensdag is een monumentaal pand op de Heuvel in Tilburg beschadigd nadat er brand was uitgebroken op de zolderverdieping. In het pand zit een karaokebar en een kledingwinkel, de zolder werd gebruikt als opslagruimte.
De brand werd rond half een ‘s nachts opgemerkt, een uur later was de brand alweer onder controle. Bij de brand zijn geen gewonden gevallen. Wat de oorzaak is van de brand, is nog niet bekend.
De politie kreeg een melding uit België dat een verdachte onderweg was richting Tilburg. Toen agenten de man een stopteken gaven, negeerde hij dat en ging ervandoor. Tijdens de achtervolging botste hij op een voertuig...
