Een 74-jarige man is overleden na een steekpartij in Gilze. Het incident vond zondagmiddag 16 februari rond 17.30 uur plaats in een woning aan de Pastoor Conincxstraat. De hulpdiensten kwamen op locatie met meerdere ambulances en minimaal één politiehond.
De politie hield een 29-jarige man uit Gilze aan. De verdachte en het slachtoffer kennen elkaar. Er wordt nog onderzoek gedaan naar de aanleiding van het incident.
Door een seinstoring rijden tussen station Tilburg en Den Bosch de rest van deze woensdagmiddag geen treinen op dat traject. Volgens NS houdt de storing in ieder geval tot 19:00 uur aan.
