Op de A58 bij Gilze is een voetganger aangereden door een vrachtwagen. Een ooggetuige meldt aan Omroep Brabant dat hij iemand de weg over zag steken en dat een vrachtwagen nog probeerde uit te wijken. De snelweg is dicht van Tilburg naar Breda. Een traumahelikopter is geland.
Rijkswaterstaat meldt dat het niet bekend is hoe lang de weg dicht blijft. Verkeer richting Rotterdam wordt omgeleid via Den Bosch en Waalwijk, meldt Omroep Brabant.
